Dr. Lebastchi is a urologist with 喵咪社区 who specializes in minimally invasive procedures and urologic oncology.

He treats patients at Keck Hospital of 喵咪社区, 喵咪社区 Norris Cancer Hospital and 喵咪社区 Verdugo Hills Hospital. Here鈥檚 what you won鈥檛 find on his resume.

He always wanted to become a doctor.

鈥淚鈥檝e wanted to be a doctor for as long as I can remember. Seeing people struggling with pain and discomfort has always struck a chord in me. I鈥檓 grateful to be in a position that gives me the opportunity to help patients in their time of need, getting them back to health and to the life they love. I love what I do, and I wouldn鈥檛 trade careers with anyone.鈥

He prizes family time.

鈥淢y family keeps me grounded and gives me a sense of purpose every day. My favorite activity is spending time with my children, whether it鈥檚 one on one or all together. Whether we鈥檙e exploring or on a new adventure, or just relaxing together at home, we enjoy being together and learning from each other.鈥

His parents are his biggest role models.

鈥淢y parents are still my biggest role models, even more so as I鈥檝e become a parent myself. All of the most important life lessons I鈥檝e learned came from my parents. They taught me the value of hard work, being kind and respectful, always doing your best and caring for those around you. I hope I can instill these same life lessons in my own children.鈥

His favorite book reflects these values.

鈥淧eople might be surprised to learn that my favorite book is 鈥楾he Gruffalo.鈥 My kids love this book, and so do I. It鈥檚 a reminder of so many important life lessons. What resonates with me is the message that bravery, creativity and resourcefulness outweigh sheer strength and size. If you trust in yourself, and you trust in your wits and your ability to solve problems and have good judgment, you will go far.鈥

One thing people would be surprised to learn about him鈥

鈥溾s that I don鈥檛 like to see doctors myself. It鈥檚 such a stereotype, but it鈥檚 true for me. This is why it鈥檚 especially important to me to make sure my patients feel welcome and safe. Building a thoughtful and trusting relationship with my patients is priority one, especially as they are very vulnerable and concerned when they see me. And I aim to become a better patient myself (maybe)!鈥

He loves the camaraderie and academic innovation of Keck Medicine.

鈥淚 enjoy the collaborative nature and innovative spirit of Keck Medicine. Our urologists work collaboratively each day with many other experts and specialists, meaning patients receive the best care possible. Additionally, the physician-scientist in me thrives in the academic research we do here because it helps to ensure we are offering patients the most up-to-date and advanced care possible at all times.鈥
