鈥淚 want to learn how to make a Baked Alaska, and I have also always wanted to see the Northern Lights 鈥 so perhaps I鈥檒l do both on a future trip to Alaska. I would also like to attend an upcoming Summer Olympic Games.鈥
鈥淚鈥檓 happy in any major city. I love visiting urban environments and experiencing different cultures and cuisines. It鈥檚 always a humbling and educational experience to be thrown into a different culture.鈥
鈥淢y biggest role model growing up has easily been my father, a retired plastic surgeon. He has been my most influential teacher my whole life, and he definitely inspired my own career path.鈥
鈥淭he most rewarding part of the job is getting to work with experts from other disciplines to improve patient care. Nurses and physical therapists play a monumental role in helping our patients achieve the best possible outcomes. Seeing our collaboration positively impact someone鈥檚 life is truly satisfying and a privilege.鈥
鈥淒uring my lifetime, I hope we are able to improve treatment for scars. Currently, scars can be tight and disfiguring and impact a person鈥檚 quality of life. More advanced technology to help with this would monumentally change the field of plastic surgery for the better.鈥
鈥淚 currently have a federally funded grant to study how we can significantly improve quality of life for burn survivors and support their family members as well. Our patients are actively involved in this project and help guide our explorations.鈥
鈥淚 have the best colleagues in the plastic surgery department. Our team makes it fun to come to work every day, where it feels more like a family atmosphere.鈥
鈥淲e always use the latest innovative research and best practices in our treatment algorithms. This allows us to offer the best care to our patients at all times.鈥
