Keck Medical Center of 喵咪社区 has once again been recognized as one of the nation’s best hospitals.

The medical center, which includes Keck Hospital of 喵咪社区 and 喵咪社区 Norris Cancer Hospital, placed among the top 50 nationwide in eight specialties in the U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings for 2022-23.

The placements include two specialties in the top 10: Gastroenterology and GI surgery at No. 6 and Urology at No. 8. Both specialties, plus Cancer and Orthopedics, rose significantly since last year.

‘High Performing’ status awarded for 16 medical procedures

Keck Medical Center ranked among the top 10 hospitals in California and top three hospitals in the Los Angeles metro area 鈥� designations that place the academic medical center in the top 25 hospitals nationwide.

It was also rated High Performing, the highest rating possible, in 16 out of 19 common procedures and conditions.

The ratings were awarded for abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic valve surgery, back surgery (spinal fusion), colon cancer surgery, heart attack, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, hip fracture, hip replacement, knee replacement, lung cancer surgery, pneumonia, prostate cancer surgery, stroke, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and uterine cancer surgery.
